Pilates is a physical exercise method where we sculpt and strengthen our bodies, in an efficient and safe way; ensuring the placement of the pelvis, rib cage, spine (cervical, thorasic, lumbar) and scapulas. We work the muscles dynamically (as opposed to static), with focus on the deep stabilization muscles, movement control and breathing.

Pilates is exercise that works the whole body in every class (as opposed to only one part of the body/muscle group). We strengthen our muscles, improve our coordination and balance, as well as increase our mobility. Focus on the technique, initiation and action of a movement, makes Pilates something that efficiently works the target muscle(s) and helps your brain to connect with the body. It really is a great work-out as everyone (almost) can do it, and it’s individually adaptable!

Since I was 10 years old, Pilates has been part of my training in ballet school. We were doing the exercises without even knowing it was Pilates! It is essential for a ballet dancer, as we need a strong core and be able to activate all muscles consciously.
In 2014, I did my course and became a certified STOTT Pilates Instructor. I worked as a Pilates instructor at Balance in Stockholm, Sweden, before moving abroad again.
I love Pilates and I would like you to share my passion for it! Get in touch to join a group or private mat class.
